Baking is a normal part of a cooking school curriculum. And it refers to the cooking method that uses dry heat to create edible sweets. For this subject, students usually learn the common French and Belgian delights that are ordered within restaurants and hotels around the world. Two of which are the cheese souffle and red velvet cake and they will all be tackled in detail through this post.

Study About Good Way To Do Baking

First up is the cheese souffle. Originating from the French verb souffle, which means “to blow up”, this treatment is considered one of the most delicious but challenging pastries to make. It takes about an hour to accomplish and results vary according to procedure adherence.

Now before moving on with the process, one must collect the necessary ingredients to ensure smooth progress – butter, 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan, 6 ounces of cheddar, ½ teaspoon of cream of tartar, 3 tablespoons of flour, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of dry mustard, 1/8 teaspoon of kosher salt, 4 large egg yolks, 1 and 1/3 cups of milk, and a concoction of 5 egg whites with 1 tablespoon of water.

Once they are completed, start buttering the souffle mold to serve as an adhesive. Afterward, put in the grated Parmesan and let it stick on the side of the mold. Cover it up with plastic wrap and freeze it for 5 minutes. Then, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit before you melt butter in a small saucepan and mix it with flour, garlic powder, dry mustard, and kosher salt. In another bowl, whip up the egg whites and cream of tartar until it takes form. After which, add ¼ of the first mixture to the base and continue to add the whites by thirds. Then pour the whole thing into the cold souffle mold and leave only half an inch on the top free. Cover it with aluminum foil and bake it in the oven for 35 minutes. A perfect souffle would puff up because of the egg whites incorporated.

How To Bake A Red Velvet Cake

Next, we move on to baking a red velvet cake. Again, we need to start off the procedure by collecting the ingredients. This time, you will have to get vegetable oil, 1 pound of cream cheese, 4 cups of confectionary sugar, 2 sticks of butter, 2 and a half cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon flour, 1 teaspoon cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 cup of buttermilk, 2 large eggs, 2 tablespoons of red food coloring, 2 teaspoon of white vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar, cream cheese, and finally, some crushed pecans.

The first step to making this delicious dessert is to preheat the over to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. And then move on to lightly oiling and flouring the cake pans. Once you’re done, sift flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, and sugar together in one bowl and mix buttermilk, vinegar, eggs, food coloring and vanilla in another. Subsequently, whisk both preparations together using a mixer until you get a homogenous batter. Then proceed to the following step, which is pouring the batter into the cake pans and baking it for about 30 minutes. While baking, put together cream cheese, sugar and butter using a mixer. Whisk the concoction until it becomes fluffy. And once the cake is done and cooled down, start frosting the side and surface of the cake and put them on top of each other. Garnish with pecans.

As you can see, it’s not that difficult to learn how to bake. But you will need to attend a cooking school to learn more recipes, develop your skills and gain more confidence. If you are not up for the costs, you can always do some research on the matter and experiment on your own. But the outcomes would most likely not be of the same quality.
